Mann McGowan Launches Pyroglaze Compression Seal for Enhanced Fire-Resistant Glazing Solutions

Mann McGowan has unveiled its latest innovation, Pyroglaze Compression — a compressible graphite intumescent seal engineered specifically for glazed aperture applications.

Designed to deliver 30 or 60 minutes of fire protection, Pyroglaze Compression can compress by up to 2mm on each side of the glass, effectively compensating for the natural tolerances between the door, bead, and glass thickness.

In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands, forming a robust seal within the glazing pocket and significantly reducing the risk of early ignition of glazing beads on the protected side.

The Pyroglaze Compression system was developed in collaboration with Pyroguard, part of the Saverto Group, which specialises in advanced passive fire protection solutions.
