It is vital to awaken guests in case of a possible fire threat in places where people use to sleep, such as hotel rooms, hostels, dormitories, guesthouses. Early detection requires waking people up in the places where they are resting in order to sound an alarm and execute evacuation plans correctly. For this reason, the warning devices should be designed in accordance with the intended use of the space. In the design of base sounder / sounder & beacons, which are preferred as a warning, attention should be paid to ensure that the fire alarm sound level is at least 65dB(A) or 10dB(A) higher than the enviroment noise if there is a noise that lasts longer than 30 seconds in the environment. In order for the audible alarm to be heard by everyone, special care should be taken to ensure that it is in the frequency range of 500Hz and 2000Hz and that the fire alarm sound level does not exceed 120dB(A) in places where people can be found. The fire alarm sound level should be at least 75dB(A) at the edge of the bed, especially when it is intended to wake sleeping people.
