Zenitel has launched two IP Speaker Kits designed to help partners develop customised networked speaker solutions for specific security, communication and operational environments.
The Indoor IP Speaker Kit (ZIPS-K) and Outdoor IP Speaker Kit (ZIPS-KOE) give partners greater flexibility to select speaker form factors and acoustic configurations while retaining Zenitel’s IP audio, networking and management capabilities.
The kits provide the underlying technology platform, allowing partners to combine suitable loudspeakers and enclosures for applications where a standard IP speaker may not meet specific requirements. This enables Zenitel’s IP audio technology to be incorporated into more specialised speaker designs while maintaining core communication and network management functions.
According to Zenitel, the kits will also form the technology foundation for its future IP speaker portfolio, replacing the company’s existing IP module. The move is intended to create a common platform for both Zenitel’s standard products and customised partner solutions.
The development is part of Zenitel’s wider Unified Critical Communication (UCC) offering, which brings public address and communication capabilities together within a common environment. Zenitel’s IP speakers can be integrated with platforms such as Zenitel Connect and managed through services including Zenitel Cloud RMM.
Mikkjell Rommetveit, Senior R&D Project Manager at Zenitel, said the kits were developed in response to demand from partners for solutions tailored to specific environments and applications.
“Rather than limiting to a specific speaker design, the new kits give them the freedom to build any type of speakers while keeping Zenitel technology at the core,” he said.
