FireCORE: UAE Fire Safety Management Platform

The FDI Group is developing FireCORE, a digital platform designed to help building owners and facilities managers improve fire safety management by bringing asset information, inspection records and maintenance documentation together in one central system.

Developed in the UAE, FireCORE will cover both active and passive fire protection systems, providing a consolidated record of asset conditions, inspections, repairs and maintenance activities throughout a building’s lifecycle. The platform will be available in both English and Arabic, with an official launch planned for January 2027.

The system will enable users to document site inspections, record maintenance activities and upload photographs and supporting documents. By consolidating this information, FireCORE aims to improve visibility of fire protection assets and provide building owners and operators with easier access to essential safety records.

This is particularly relevant for buildings where maintenance responsibilities and compliance obligations are transferred between different owners, facilities management companies and service providers. Maintaining accurate and accessible records can help ensure continuity and support more effective fire safety oversight.

The platform’s development comes as building safety requirements in Dubai continue to evolve. Dubai Law No. 3 of 2026, concerning building quality and safety, places greater emphasis on demonstrating compliance with safety requirements through independent technical reporting. FireCORE is designed to support this process by helping users maintain organised, accessible and up-to-date fire safety documentation.

In addition to asset and inspection management, FireCORE will provide maintenance scheduling, outstanding work tracking and expenditure forecasting. These functions are intended to help facilities teams take a more structured approach to maintaining fire protection systems, managing operational budgets and planning future investment.

Elliott Brown, Founder and Managing Director of The FDI Group, said:

“Fire safety depends on having a clear understanding of a building’s assets, their condition and the work carried out to maintain them. That information must remain accessible and reliable throughout the life of the building, even as the people responsible for it change.

“You can’t plan what you can’t see. Without a single record, fire safety costs more than it should in money, time and risk. We developed FireCORE drawing on our UK experience to bring scattered records together, help teams keep them current and give owners and operators the information they need to plan maintenance, manage costs and support everyday compliance.”

FireCORE is currently in its pre-launch phase. The FDI Group is inviting prospective clients to register their interest, discuss their requirements and work with the development team to gather the information needed to populate the platform ahead of its planned January 2027 launch.

The platform has also been shortlisted in the Best Fire Safety Solution category at the Intersec Awards 2027, highlighting its contribution to the development of digital solutions for building fire safety management.
