LDA Audio Tech has launched the Mini ONE, a compact public address and voice evacuation system designed for smaller installations requiring EN 54-certified functionality.
Unveiled on 1 September, the Mini ONE is built around the new ONE-150 model, which is certified to EN 54-16 and EN 54-4 and supports up to two audio zones. The system extends LDA Audio Tech’s ONE series below the existing ONE-500, providing a lower-capacity option for sites that do not require the capabilities of larger systems.
The manufacturer is targeting applications including retail premises, sports centres, low-occupancy public buildings, educational facilities and franchise networks.
Compact System With Redundant Amplification
The ONE-150 incorporates two Class D amplification channels, delivering up to 150 W per channel. The channels are configured for main and backup amplification, providing redundancy intended to maintain system operation in the event of an amplifier failure while supporting EN 54-16 requirements.
The system can operate using an A/B zone configuration or two independent zones. Speaker-line and end-of-line supervision are included for monitoring system integrity.
Other features include three audio inputs with configurable priority levels, two pre-amplified outputs for external amplifiers and integrated digital signal processing (DSP). DSP functions include parametric equalisation, loudness control and independent volume adjustment for each zone.
For emergency communications, the ONE-150 supports separate EVAC and ALERT pre-recorded message playback, with up to 10 minutes of memory. Integration with fire detection panels is provided through four plus two supervised GPIO ports, as well as Modbus RTU connectivity.
Local control is available through an integrated LCD display, allowing basic system operation without external software. The system can also support up to eight MPS-8Z microphones or VAP-1 panels using CAT5 UTP connections.
Expanding Into Distributed Systems
Alongside the Mini ONE launch, LDA Audio Tech has announced developments aimed at extending the ONE series into larger and distributed system architectures.
NEXO Hub Lite is included as standard with the ONE-150 and ONE-500, allowing the systems to be integrated into multisite networks alongside LDA’s NEO and NEO+ platforms.
This architecture enables individual installations to retain local operation while becoming part of a wider IP-based infrastructure.
LDA Audio Tech has also introduced EVAC Control ONE, a graphical platform for centralised management and supervision of ONE-150 and ONE-500 systems.
The platform uses an RS-485 connection for system-status and fault monitoring, as well as centralised volume management. It also provides global Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and integration with generic analogue equipment.
A Quick Launcher function allows pre-configured actions to be activated rapidly, supporting emergency response procedures. According to LDA Audio Tech, the platform also meets applicable requirements of the European Cyber Resilience Act.
EVAC Control ONE is scheduled for availability from October 2026.
New Option for Smaller Installations
The Mini ONE gives the ONE series a two-zone, 150 W solution for compact projects, while the ONE-500 provides up to six zones and 500 W for larger installations. The wider portfolio also includes the NEO+ series for larger and more distributed applications.
The launch gives system integrators an additional option for projects where EN 54-certified voice alarm functionality, amplifier redundancy and network integration are required within a smaller installation.
