Speco Technologies Launches Video Doorbell Product

Speco Technologies has introduced the Speco Video Doorbell (O2DB1), a Wi-Fi-enabled smart device featuring a wide-angle lens, two-way audio, a built-in card reader, and infrared (IR) and LED lights for superior low-light performance. Designed to function as part of a security infrastructure or as a standalone solution, the Video Doorbell integrates advanced surveillance capabilities in a compact form.

Speco Technologies President Todd Keller highlighted its versatility, stating that it blends the company’s advanced video surveillance technology with a sleek, adaptable design. The Video Doorbell supports Speco’s Advanced Analytics, enabling AI-powered features like object detection, audio analytics, facial recognition, and real-time alarm verification. This allows integration into broader security systems, including video surveillance, access control, and audio monitoring, while offering features such as tampering alarms, door contact alerts, two-way communication, and credential verification.

The Video Doorbell is suited for residential and commercial applications, offering 24/7 HD video quality through its 2.8mm wide-angle lens and night vision capabilities. Remote interaction is facilitated via the Speco Blue App, providing noise suppression and echo cancellation for clear communication. It connects through 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or PoE for reliable operation and is easy to install with an included mounting plate and wireless chime. Flexible cloud storage options ensure secure access to video footage, while compatibility with systems like Speco Blue VMS allows for scaling into a comprehensive surveillance solution. Users can record to existing NVR systems, sync data to the cloud, and access alerts without subscription fees.

Through a partnership with Immix, the Video Doorbell provides remote live video playback and pre- and post-alarm recording via Immix’s Central Station Monitoring services. This integration offers a unified view of critical events, automates workflows, and supports AVS-01 alarm verification standards to reduce false alarms while enhancing incident reporting and long-term system insights.
