Abu Dhabi Orders Seven Bronto Firefighting Aerial Platforms

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority has awarded a tender to Bronto Skylift for seven new firefighting aerial platforms, with deliveries scheduled for 2027.

The order includes one 60-metre Bronto F60XR aerial platform and six WFT water and foam towers, configured for working heights of 40 and 56 metres.

The equipment will be supplied in cooperation with Bristol Fire Engineering Industries, Bronto Skylift’s UAE-based partner. The two companies will work together throughout the delivery and commissioning process.

The new equipment will strengthen Abu Dhabi’s emergency response capabilities by providing a combination of high-reach aerial platforms and elevated water and foam firefighting systems. The units are designed to support operations involving tall, complex or difficult-to-access structures.

The F60XR forms part of Bronto Skylift’s F-XR range of truck-mounted aerial platforms, while the WFT range is designed specifically for firefighting applications requiring elevated water and foam delivery.

Bronto Skylift Sales Manager MEAI, Pauli Blomberg, said the company was proud to have been selected for the project.

“This tender reflects the strong confidence that customers place in Bronto solutions and our local support network.”

The seven units are expected to be delivered during 2027. The project further strengthens Bronto Skylift’s presence in the Middle East, where the company supplies truck-mounted aerial platforms for firefighting, rescue and industrial access applications.
