Fike’s Fire Watch solution receives global FM approval

Fike Corporation has announced the global FM approval of its Fike Fire Watch solution.

The solution offers temporary fire detection to comply with NFPA requirements and to maintain a safe workplace and is an automated solution that may be used instead of paying contractors or employees to perform these activities.

The system includes one or two Fike IR3 HD flame detectors, an on-board HD camera, smoke detection via Fike Video Analytics, alarm notifications and a battery which supplies up to 18.7 hours of uninterrupted power.

Fike Fire Watch immediately activates its integrated alarm and can be monitored by a building fire alarm panel or third-party equipment for SMS, mobile phone push, text or email notification.

“Fike Fire Watch fills a very important need in the industry of providing cost-effective temporary fire detection,” said Kevin Montgomery, Fike Manager of Fire Protection Product Management.

“Investing in just one Fike Fire Watch System will easily pay for itself after just a few uses. We are excited to provide a reliable and inexpensive solution to those who need it most.”
