Aaronia sets new trends at IMS 2025 Broadband analysis solutions impress with their performance and flexibility

At the IMS in San Francisco in mid-June, everything revolved around microwaves, millimeter waves and optical frequencies. Over 500 exhibitors from 65 countries showcased their solutions. Aaronia AG impressed with its industry-leading real-time spectrum analyzers from the SPECTRAN® V6 series.

Over 9,000 participants attended the IMS Microwave Symposium to find out about the latest devel2025_07_2_opments and trends in high-frequency technology. Among other things, the question arose as to how the industry should find a balance between frequency restrictions, infrastructure requirements and new frequency bands in the accelerated development of 6G. Related to this is the concern of how the new frequencies can be analyzed and monitored safely.

Here, the real-time spectrum analyzers of the SPECTRAN® V6 series from Aaronia were convincing across the board. Above all, the compact high-frequency analyzers of the XPR series with state-of-the-art waveguide connections and the industry-leading sweep speed of >3THz/s surprised numerous visitors. This performance in the USB device form factor enables reliable and efficient analysis and PC-based evaluation of even high-frequency and rapidly changing signals in the microwave range, which made a lasting impression on the experts.

Another aspect is the rise of RF-enabled AI and automation. Both reduce latency in industrial environments and enable faster wireless communication in the defense, automotive and digital healthcare sectors. If reliable spectrum control cannot take place, this inevitably leads to security vulnerabilities. In this context, the SPECTRAN® V6 MOBILE caused quite a stir as the world’s first portable real-time spectrum analyzer with an RTBW of 490 MHz. With a frequency range from 9 kHz to 140 GHz and a sweep speed of 3 THz/s, the Aaronia spectrum analyzers used are equipped for all tasks.

“We were able to impressively demonstrate the performance of our SPECTRAN® V6 solutions at IMS 2025,” says Peter May, Head of Measurement Technology at Aaronia AG. “Against the backdrop of ever faster and higher frequency networks that need to be analyzed and evaluated, the SPECTRAN® V6 real-time spectrum analyzers combined with the modular analysis software RTSA-Suite PRO open up completely new possibilities.”
