The ASSP Kuwait Chapter will bring together health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) professionals in Kuwait on 4–5 October for its 13th International Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Loss Prevention Professional Development Conference & Exhibition (PDC 2026).
Held at The Regency Hotel, the conference will focus on “Intelligent HSSE: Leveraging AI to Strengthen Process Safety, Drive Sustainability and Enhance Operational Excellence.”
The two-day event will examine how artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital technologies can support hazard identification, incident prevention and operational safety, alongside established approaches to process safety, fire safety and emergency response.
AI, drones and digital monitoring
The programme will explore the growing application of AI and digital tools in industrial safety, including the use of drones and digital monitoring systems to identify hazards, strengthen surveillance and support safety performance.
For professionals working in the fire and emergency response sectors, sessions addressing fire safety, emergency response and safety in oil and gas operations will be particularly relevant.
The conference will also consider how emerging technologies can complement established safety practices, including emergency preparedness, competency development and process safety management.
Industry and professional development
PDC 2026 is expected to bring together professionals from Kuwait’s oil and energy sector, government, healthcare, academia and private industry.
The programme will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and technical sessions, alongside an industry exhibition showcasing safety technologies and services.
The event will also host the ASSP GCC HSE Excellence Awards 2026, recognising organisations for their achievements in health, safety, security and environmental performance.
Training programme
The conference forms part of a wider professional development programme organised by the ASSP Kuwait Chapter. Training courses will take place before and after the main event, covering areas including emergency and crisis management, first aid, HSE, drilling competency, HAZOP, quantitative risk assessment (QRA) and scaffold inspection.
The emphasis on AI and digital technologies reflects their increasing role in industrial safety, while the wider programme maintains a strong focus on practical risk management, emergency preparedness, technical competency and process safety.
PDC 2026 will be held under the patronage of the Kuwaiti Minister of Oil.
